Common Ground Center is conveniently located between Burlington and Middlebury, Vermont, just off Route 116. Our indoor spaces are quiet and conducive to productive meetings. You can all gather together in our spacious Dining Hall, or split up into more intimate groups using break-out rooms and our lovely, renovated Hay Barn. After your meeting, enjoy the fresh air and scenery by taking a relaxing walk by Lewis Creek, playing a game of tennis with colleagues, or hiking on trails up the Hogback Mountains. We are happy to refer you to local caterers that offer delicious, wholesome, and affordable meals for your group!
Common Ground Center can meet a variety of needs and group sizes. We rent our site exclusively if you have a large group or are planning a conference. We also offer the option of a non-exclusive rental - if you only have between 20-45 people in your group that can offer a more economical option - you can still rent the site and share it with another group while reserving specific locations for your own meetings. Some of our facilities are only available May - October. Learn more about the details of each space in the Facilities section of our website.
Our 20 rustic cabins can sleep up to 83 people and our seven tent sites offer even more accommodation options. Our unique indoor spaces offer ideal settings for community bonding, teaching, and communal meals.
Our Eco-Lodge (with meeting space and eight guest rooms) is available year-round.
Our 700 acres are home to miles of hiking trails, a stream, a wetland, a pond, and much more.
